It seemed my kitchen had been getting darker over the past couple of weeks. I figured it was a combination of my imagination and the darkening weather. It turned out that first one, then two, of the three bulbs hidden in the glass globe in the ceiling burned out. Upon replacing the crusty old bulbs with high-brightness, yet energy efficient 60-watters, Now, looking into the kitchen is like staring at the sun.
For those that want to hear, the entire unabridged debates are available as a free download on iTunes (as well as a bunch of other CSPAN-type stuff.) Currently, only the first presidential debate and the vice presidential one are available, but I expect the third to be online in a few days.
My raisins just dropped. I think that this afternoon I am using virtually every kitchen gadget/appliance, from the coffee maker to the bread machine to the Fuzzy Logic(tm) rice maker. Maybe I will use Kim's popcorn blower a little later, and I need to figure out what to make with the blender to be complete. Well, I guess I will skip the deep frier.
The question now is whether to brave the rain and hoof it over to Urban Grind or whether to sit at home and light things on fire. Right now, I am leaning toward a book, some candles, some incense, and a fire in the fireplace.
