Molasses is not as slow as I thought. In fact, I have seen motor oil much more slow (although, come to think of it, I believe it was used motor oil). The gingerbread turned out pretty well. Next time, I need to grease the sides with something other than the olive oil cooking spray I typically use for everything. It reacted a little funny with the edges. Mental note: butter. I had forgotten how dry gingerbread really is. Sure, the serving suggestion mentioned whipped cream, but I have nothing like that to go with the dessert. I think ice cream is in order.
Now that I have the dessert situation more-or-less squared away (sans topping), I think I need to go off in search of dinner and ice cream.
