
PEOPLE OF PORTLAND:
It's just snow and it melts before it even hits the ground. Yes it is quite pretty, but it does not pose a road hazard any worse than conventional rain. It should not bring traffic to a standstill.
On a related note, once I managed to get on the 5 and up to speed, the drive to work was quite pleasant. The snow, slowly drifting down, coming toward the windshield (well, technically, the windshield was going toward the snow, but it is all relative to your frame of reference) was like one of those old school “stars flying at you” screensavers.
