I noticed that the crappy easy listening music they play by the elevators was missing. Ordinarily, I would be overjoyed, but the sound that replaced the music was even more disturbing that MuZaK.
I could hear the empty windy noises of the elevator shafts. The sound was right out of a reenactment of Sleepy Hollow or any other spooky Halloween story. That, combined with the expired elevator permits did not make me feel comfortable one bit.
