So I finished my first day of the PDX Bike Commute Challenge, and boy are my arms tired. Really. My legs aren’t feeling all that bad. I walk all over the place, uphill and down, so I guess my legs are used to it. I assume there is just something about the body position on a bike that’s causing my arm muscles to get a little worn out. My butt hurts, too, but I expected that. I did not expect my arms to be sore.
