You know how, in Alice’s Adventures Through the Looking Glass, she goes into a mirror world where everything is backwards? In taking PhotoBooth pictures of Ebenezer the other day, I came to realize that there is a similar mirror world in my Mac. Maybe this isn’t surprising, considering Neo’s trip down the rabbit hole or Flynn’s getting atomized into the Master Control Program–but it was a weird revelation for me.
As proof, I hold a book up to the mirrorizing-camera:
(Presumably, this enhances the user experience when playing around with PhotoBooth. It makes it act more like looking into a mirror, which is more natural to most people than looking into the video output of a webcam pointed at you. It’s not something I would have thought of, but makes sense in retrospect.)
Command-F to flip photo, Shift-Command-F to permanently flip photos. 🙂
Duuuuude, yer harshin’ my rabbit-hole mellow, man. I’m living in a mirror world! 😉
