Today, I am in a world of pain — and I do not mean that metaphorically. To wit:

* Last night’s dinner did not agree with me, causing restless sleep last night and stomach cramps with nausea today.

* A neighborhood stray(?) cat swiped at my hand last night and, while I am no stranger to cat scratches because I sometimes roughhouse with our own cats, he managed to not so much scratch, but deeply puncture with pinpoint accuracy a single hole right next to a knuckle, perhaps nicking a muscle or tendon. Use of my right pinkie is now painful and impaired. And, of course, that’s the finger I use for the semicolon-enter pairing that terminates each line of code I write. At least I can move it today.

* The general muscle aches and fatigue that come with lack of sleep (see #1.)
