This post was a shell script that was mainly for me to download a song or two from artists on the PMN who do not yet have albums to buy or tracks to purchase. Obviously, it could be used to download anything.
I posted the script in haste after having just completed it (without doing much thinking.) I now realize that I f’ed up. Is this or a similar tool legal to have, use, and distribute? I believe so. Is it hurtful to artists? Potentially. Is it against the spirit of independent artists? Probably. So it’s with this apology that I’ve voluntarily withdrawn it.
