Lunchtime conversation

At lunch, there was a group of guys at the next table over that spent 40 minutes talking in excruciating detail about various topics revolving around the subject of powder-coated pipes. As I begin to form a value-judgment about the excitement (or lack thereof) and usefulness (or lack thereof) of such things, I start to wonder what my lunchtime conversations sound like to bystanders… threads… mutexes… multiplexers… remote procedure calls… synchronization… cacheing… abstraction… hierarchy… inheritence… polymorphism…
