There is something to be said about a grilled cheese sandwich made of locally produced sharp cheddar, swiss, pepper jack, muenster, and smoked provolone on organic white honey bread. It may be a couple of dollars more than one made of national store-brand cheese, but the resulting flavor and satisfaction that you are keeping the flow of money within the community is more than worth it.
