Fortunately, it was not a reenactment of a Ben Stiller movie. They are great people and a lot more interesting and animated than my parents. They are a bit isolated (both figuratively and literally), living out in Riverside near Norco.
They seemed to like me pretty well, but the first couple of hours sometimes seemed a bit like a job interview, but with higher stakes.
