Mac Mini Upgrades

For those that were wondering about the upgradability of the Mac Mini, it looks like it is only user serviceable if you know what you are doing. Removing the case works much like opening the iPod and requires a putty knife or similar object. A video is available detailing how to get it open. On the official Mac Mini homepage (under the “Design” section), you can see a good picture of the internals. Note the latches that get pulled back with the putty knife. Also note the memory, which looks to be replaced quite easily. As for the hard disk, Bluetooth, or AirPort, that remains to be seen. The only detailed internal pictures that I have seen show just the mainboard without daughterboards or peripherals and do not show how easily things can be removed (and then correctly reinserted).
