You can trap the bat in a castle by grabbing it, and releasing it in any castle when it is holding something (like the key to that castle works best). You have to keep doing it until the bat flies horizontally. it won’t fly out if it it holding something.
WARNING: If the bat is holding the key to the castle you are in, and it flies in a diagonal pattern, it might hit the gate and lock you in on its way out. That a game reset.
Once you kill the dragonducks and trap the bat you have free reign over the realm and can do fun stuff like find the invisible item in the catacombs and unlock the secret message!
