So, I was reading this article/interview about Sea Monkeys, and it was pretty standard stuff, but started getting into to technical details…blah, blah, blah…homogenization of chemical reagents…blah, blah, blah…genetically engineered for smaller sizes and longer lives…blah, blah, blah… Then it goes to mention that Mister Man who is responsible for Sea Monkeys was also responsible for the hermit crab craze of the 70's. THEN, it talks about how he is in the process of (1) revising the sea monkeys so that the new ones will live 5 years instead of 1 or 2 (but ran into a snag when someone stole his laptop from the car) and (2) he is working on little LOBSTERS!!! When confined to a small space, the lobsters quite naturally stay small, live longer, and do not molt. They also do not have any predators when in a little tank. I want a “Pinchy The Lobster” of my very own, just like Homer Simpson!
