Why do I feel like Pee Wee Herman every time I do this?
My chewing seems overexaggerated and cartoon-like. Raw octopi always seem like cartoon animals–more like rubber and less like meat, and you cannot help but laugh at the big suction cups on the outside. It feels less like I am chewing on a real piece of food and more like I am chewing on the big fake rubber octopus thing in Plan 9 from Outer Space [or insert your favorite Ed Wood style B-Movie with a big fake octopus prop here].
