I did all sorts of fun stuff at work today, including:

  • Trying to install Java on SunOS 4.1.3
  • Installing Samba on SunOS 5.7
  • Performing multiple root operations from telnet windows
  • added “+ username” to ~/.rhosts
  • Used public NFS shares to temporarily copy secure files (files that only the root user should see)
  • Hacked together a wacky script to run FoxPro, shell to a local script, which rsh’es to another box, to run Java, then copies the output to a public Novell shared mounted under NFS
  • Ummm….yeahhhh…
