I got this great little plug thing for my Powell's Nalgene bottle on Friday called SplashGuard. It works as advertised, protecting you from a face full of water from the wide-mouth bottle if you drink too fast. The only flaw is that it is made of this silicone rubber material with a distinct smell. I know it does not change the taste of the water, but because taste and smell are so interlinked, it sort of feels like I'm drinking from a snorkel and diving mask. I imagine this will go away over time, though. I hope.
