His ears are solid black. His face and the back of his neck is quite dark and sooty–and easily transfers that ash to anything that comes in contact. His face has a great little mark across the eye that makes him look like he is trying to be The Crow for halloween.
I then decided to go a little crazy and use Crayola non-toxic washable markers. The idea of using henna was planted into my brain earlier in the week, but I have neither the supplies or the inclination to try that right now. It is difficult to draw on a squirmy cat.
