The fine film Poltergeist teaches us three things…

  • Most people of the age 20-something or younger can trace back any fear of clowns they might have to the scary doll-thing in this film.
  • Don’t build suburban cookie-cutter houses on top of a burial ground, Indian or otherwise.
  • The laughing children at the end of the credits is one of the spookiest things you can hear.
