I did all sorts of fun stuff at work today, including:

  • Try­ing to install Java on SunOS 4.1.3
  • Installing Samba on SunOS 5.7
  • Per­form­ing mul­ti­ple root oper­a­tions from tel­net windows
  • added “+ user­name” to ~/.rhosts
  • Used pub­lic NFS shares to tem­porar­ily copy secure files (files that only the root user should see)
  • Hacked together a wacky script to run Fox­Pro, shell to a local script, which rsh’es to another box, to run Java, then copies the out­put to a pub­lic Nov­ell shared mounted under NFS
  • Ummm.…yeahhhh…
